LA NAHUAL DEL XOCOMIL

La obra teatrica LA NAHUAL DEL XOCOMIL es un pequeño cuento con base en los mitos ancianos del Lago Atitlán adaptado a un tema ambiental.  Estaba escrito específicamente a producir con un grupo de niños que viven en Jucanya, y por presentar localmente en un esfuerza a fomentar una conciencia ambiental en la comunidad. 

La Nahual es una espiritu que vive en el Lago. El Xocomil es un viento o movimiento del agua.

THE SPIRIT OF THE XOCOMIL

The theatrical work THE SPIRIT OF THE XOCOMIL is a short tale based in the ancient myths of Lake Atitlan adapted to an environmental theme.  It was written specifically ro performance by a group of children who live in the Barrio Jucanya, and for local presentation as part of a movement to inspire environmental awareness in the communities.

The Nahual is the spirit protector of the Lake.  The Xocomil is a wind or a strong current in the water.
